There are so many continuing education courses in orthodontics to choose from. Why should I choose F.O.R.C.E.?
F.O.R.C.E. is the only extended orthodontic continuing education course taught by university trained orthodontists who are experienced educators as well as clinicians. It is a comprehensive program with a 20-year history of helping General Dentists successfully incorporate orthodontics into their practices.
I've already had hundreds of hours of orthodontic continuing education. Will I still benefit from the F.O.R.C.E. course?
Absolutely! Unless you have taken a graduate level university orthodontic program, you will benefit from the F.O.R.C.E. program. More than half of the nearly 2,000 graduates of the F.O.R.C.E. program have previously taken hundreds of hours of orthodontic continuing education.
I just graduated from dental school. Should I wait a few years before signing up for "Comprehensive Orthodontics?"
That would be a matter of personal choice. As a new graduate, you probably have extra free time and less income. Some graduates may be intimidated by the cost of the course. Keep in mind, however, that if you wait a few years until you are busier and generating more income, each day out of your office will cost you significantly more money. It is important that upon completing the course, you have the opportunity to practice orthodontics and put your education to work for you at the clinical level. Also, keep in mind that as your practice builds, you may retake the Basic course as many times as necessary for a small fee.
Do I have to pay the entire tuition at once?
No, many payment options are available
How soon after completing "Comprehensive Orthodontics" can I begin practicing orthodontics?
Immediately! In fact, the faculty will assist you during the course with patient selection, record collection and treatment planning. You will be ready to begin active treatment upon mastering the clinical techniques taught in Session III.
Before I make such a considerable commitment of time and money, can I speak with other dentists who have completed the F.O.R.C.E. programs?
Sure! Upon request, we will furnish you with an extensive list of F.O.R.C.E. program graduates and their phone numbers.
Why is this course better than the less expensive ones?
The value of this course, or, in fact, of any course, is not always reflective of the tuition cost. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. The best answer to this question comes in the form of another question: "Why would over 800 doctors need to take F.O.R.C.E.'s 'Comprehensive Orthodontics' after having already taken and paid for the less expensive courses?" Whereas, to the best of our knowledge, none of our graduates have subsequently felt the need to take any other extended orthodontic continuing education programs. Value is value, regardless of cost.
What happens after I complete "Comprehensive Orthodontics?"
You decide! F.O.R.C.E. provides optional ongoing Study Group programs, Clinical programs and Advanced courses. You can continue your educatjion at your own pace for as long or as short a period as you wish.
Can I bring my Chairside Assistant to the program?
Yes. You may bring any of your staff to the "Comprehensive Orthodontics" program (at tuition of $2,495.00/Staff member) where they will gain the same theoretical and clinical knowledge that you will. In addition, F.O.R.C.E. offers training programs for the front desk and clinical staff to provide you with the necessary information to effectively incorporate orthodontics into your clinical practice.
How do I learn clinical orthodontic techniques?
The Session III "Technique Program" gives you a hands-on experience on typodonts where you learn to use the tools and techniques of clinical orthodontics. Also, the Level 3 Clinical Program provides an opportunity to observe clinical techniques used on individual patients in a private practice setting.
What supplies do I need to bring?
For Sessions I and II of the Basic program, no supplies will be necessary other than the syllabus F.O.R.C.E. has provided. At Session I, you will be given a list of supplies and materials necessary for the hands-on Technique training program (Session III). This list also applies to participants of the "Practice Management" program.
How much additional income can I expect to earn by incorporating orthodontics into my practice?
It is difficult to say. It depends upon the nature of your practice, and how aggressive you are in selecting the cases you wish to treat. Some F.O.R.C.E. graduates are treating 10-15 new orthodontic cases each year, while others are treating 50 or more. The economic impact of adding orthodontics can be measured in many ways. One, direct revenues from orthodontic treatment. Two, new patients may be attracted to the practice through their children. Three, increased acceptance of restorative and cosmetic procedures enhanced by pre-prosthetic orthodontics.
Will I get my deposit back if I have to cancel?
Absolutely. In fact, if after the first session of "Comprehensive Orthodontics" you feel that this is not the right program for you, we will refund your entire deposit.
Is there a fee to retake "Comprehensive Orthodontics?"
"Comprehensive Orthodontics" covers a lot of information, and many participants elect to retake this program. You can retake this course at any future location for a fee of $795.00 U.S., or $895.00 Canadian.
Will Dr. Litt be able to help me with my difficult orthodontic cases once I complete "Comprehensive Orthodontics?"
Dr. Litt and the F.O.R.C.E. faculty will help you with any of your cases. As long as your are a participant in any ongoing program (Study Group or Clinical Program), there is no additional charge for this service. F.O.R.C.E. also offers a diagnostic and treatment planning service which provides you with a written diagnosis, treatment plan, proposed mechanics outline, retention plan, fee guide and estimate of treatment time. But, keep in mind, the objective of "Comprehensive Orthodontics" is to prevent you from having "difficult" cases! | ||||||
