Miniscrews and Implants as Temporary Anchorage Devices in Orthodontics

A Lecture and Hands-On Program for the General and Pediatric Dentist

TADs

The purpose of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) is to provide the clinician with alternative means to treat a full range of orthodontic cases without compensating for the inadvertent reciprocal movement of adjacent teeth. This allows the clinician to reduce treatment time, anchorage demand, patient compliance and to employ more simplified mechanics without surgery.

You will learn a coordinated system of mini screws, attachments and instruments designed for orthodontics. With the new systems available, it is easier and more comfortable than ever for you to place and utilize temporary anchorage for unmatched control, efficiency and improved patient care.
  1. Reduced anchorage demand for more control

  2. Surgery cases treated without surgery

  3. Fewer headgear and reduced reliance on patient compliance

  4. Reduced treatment time

  5. Greater patient comfort

Learn how to treat a variety of cases, including:

  1. Molar intrusion

  2. Molar protraction

  3. Leveling occlusal cants

  4. En masse anterior retraction

  5. Molar uprighting

  6. Extruding impacted cuspids

  7. Closing anterior open bites

Syrijet:  Needle-free anesthetic

Needle-free and virtually pain-free, the Syrijet has received excellent patient acceptance. This system will provide clinicians with a profoundly effective yet needle-free and comfortable anesthetic device.

A workbook provides clinicians with practical instruction on how to easily and effectively treat seven common cases with mini screws, complete with indications, contra-indications, recommended hardware and setup and clinical expectations for each use.

Register now for this lecture and hands-on education, and you will learn how to:

  1. 1.Achieve a wide range of orthodontic movements with TADs

  2. 2.Easily and painlessly place and remove miniscrews, implants and attachments

  3. 3.Shorten treatment times and increase efficiency with TADs, making a positive difference in your practice

  4. 4.Place implants, with demonstrations of anesthesia techniques. These temporary implants will be placed on typodonts and participant volunteers.
